Holiday Inn Resort Alpensia Pyeongchang offers direct access to ski slopes in winter and to the private 27-hole golf course in summer. With Ocean 700, year-round indoor water park, the resort invites you to an exhilarating getaway in soothing nature throughout the seasons.

Guests Pyeongchang Alpensia Holiday Inn are provided with 24-hour front desk services. Ski storage and rental are available at the resort as well as free parking. Laundry and airport shuttle services can be arranged at a surcharge at the reception desk. Property-wide WiFi access is available at a fee.

After an exciting day around its vast resort complex, guests can enjoy Asian cuisine at Mont Blanc Restaurant or relax over drinks at Edelweiss Lounge. Alternatively, various local cuisines are available in downtown Gangneung, a 45-minute drive to the east.

Fantastic and cosy ski resort, and very few foreigners.

Location (within a village/compound and within walking distance to ski slope), amenities, big rooms. It is a short 10-min drive to Hoenggye (town) which has Daiso, Paris Baguette and J Mart. Few foreigners. Basic Korean knowledge is preferred.

Sometimes not enough parking lots. Consider arranging shuttle bus from Incheon airport to hotel for foreign guests who don't drive but want to ski (like in Niseko). Provide shuttle bus to neayby town (for guests who don't drive)

It's not too bad but could be better

The staff was friendly and rooms was quite clean and big. Bathroom was also spacious. Location is good as it is right in the middle and so near the ski location. Plenty of eateries around and the restaurant in the hotel is not too bad.

The room we booked was the futon type. Though we expected that we would be sleeping by the floor, the futon was way too thin and to make it worse, there was no proper pillow but some small bean bags. Probably was a traditional Korean style but it's not comfortable and I even had a stiff neck the second night. If you really want to sleep comfortably, you might have to consider the rooms with proper bedding. The casino linked to the Hotel was also closed.

Helpful staff made a difference!

Helpful and polite staff who went out of their way in cold rainy weather to help get our luggage from the Welcome Ski Centre to Holiday Inn Resort which was some 300m away on paths thick with snow. He smartly led us through from the carpark instead.

Mont Blanc restaurant a little underwhelming on lunch menu selection. recommend the local eateries within the resort compound.

The part that paid attention to the landscaping, the food court on the resort street, the performance facilities and experience entertainment, and the part that had a small water park was good.

I thought the breakfast restaurant of a 5-star hotel was in the middle of the market. It was also common for condo guests in the resort to be frowned upon at the bad manners of restaurant use. The atmosphere of the restaurant was worse then other regions 3-star hotels. The promenade on the river side was in ruins road and risk of danger of crime, it would be better to be cleaned up and renewed.

Had a great night's stay, a pity I didn't stay here longer!

The spacious room - plenty of space for our snowboard decks and equipment. Bath is indeed welcoming for a tired day at the slopes. A small variety of restaurants at the village to choose from. Breakfast spread is also decent.

There were no lockers or areas to put your ski equipment at the lobby (although we saw some locals leaving it with the concierge) so we brought them up to our room (to avoid losing them and paying penalty) and it can be quite a walk when with the heavy decks. I'm clearly nitpicking - everything else is great! The front desk even gave us early check-in upon knowing we have a ski class earlier than check-in - we really appreciated that.

Comfortable nights at the foot of Alpensia slopes

Location is perfect for Alpensia skiing; staff are very helpful at arranging taxis; rates are reasonable; rooms are clean and comfortable.

Breakfast is super but well overpriced, as there are no other good options nearby.

The 3pm check is not in keeping with the IHG hotel group. It was crowded and it was a COVID-19 health risk. The waitlist was possibly the worst check in I have ever experienced. The restaurant had very limited western dish offerings.

The property was quite complete, there’s quite lot choices of restaurants and mini markets, but since the ski places need to closed, the area was so quite and dark.
